The Root of All Evil

A friend sent this to me and I just loved it so I'm sharing.

This is interesting... but TRUE Believe it or not.
Woman has Man in it;
Mrs. has Mr . in it;
Female has Male in it;
She has He in it;
Madam has Adam in it;
No wonder men always want to be inside women!
Men were born between the legs of a woman, yet men spend all their life and time trying to go back between the legs of a woman...,
Why? BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Okay, Okay, it all makes sense now...
I never looked at it this way before:
MENtal illness
MENstrual cramps
MENtal breakdown
MENopause
GUYnecologist
AND .. When we have REAL trouble,
it's a HISterectomy..
Ever notice how all of women's problems start with MEN?

Ladies' Night Out

Ladies’ Night Out Phots will be loaded when I can.

We started the night at Pizza Café just out side the main entrance to Stone Mt. Park. The food was good but the service was so slow. Lucky for our server we were all in a good mood (Maine Mom waited almost 20 minutes for a beer, by the way it had to be served to her by Hawkeye because a waitress was so clueless about it sitting at the bar.)
While we ate we all had to do exchanges with Blondie, Buttercups sister. Some of us had a beer or glass of wine to help settle nerves before heading over to the park. But really I don’t think I ever got a night box before stopping at a bar first. Also from this event Ghopper’s new PT was born “Clueless” but that wasn’t the original name of the stamp it was “Chicken Sh**”. As the sun started to set we all piled into a few cars that had park passes so no one had to pay the entrance fee.
So now there are 10 ladies digging for flashlights and boxing stuff in an empty parking lot. Then the suggestion to hit the trail before park police drive by and see us was made. Off we went into the unknown. Final we get to the waters edge and look. Oh my, the doubt from some started to bubble up. Since I arranged the whole thing it was only fair that I lead the way (just call me the head lemming) plunk into the water we all go. Now it was very warm water and smelly. I was really shock that it was warmer than my pool and the temperature of the pool was 79 degrees around 5 PM and it was or half past dark something when we got wet. Now I can’t give anything more away about the box we set out to get but yes I screamed a few times and the yelling of “Lights Out Now” as a water taxi went by and then when helicopter started to fly over. We really had a helicopter flying over us checking out where the lights were coming from since there shouldn’t be any in that spot. The whole time boxing we were waiting for T-rexina to show up unannounced. Well that never happened we didn’t see her out there. (Lots of fun things going on here that you have to find out for yourself) After putting everything back into place after the stamping frenzy it was time to head back to the parking lot. Ok so into the deep we go once again. Same story I jump in first and everyone hot on my heels to get us out of the stinky messy. This time I just followed the hysterical laughter of Hawkeye back to the other side. Up the trail we go dripping wet and smelling like you don’t want to know. Then suddenly we are hit by a light and hear “Park Police what are doing here” followed by a few screams and a quick bit of back stepping. Now we hear the giggles of what sounded like a giddy little schoolgirl comes from the other side of the light…. Hi Rex thanks for the welcome back. Since I was still dripping wet I had to give him a big hug for being so nice to us.
Time to get dried off so time to start hunting for our towels and dry clothes. We all just went to the one side of my van, stripped down in the parking lot changes and said, “Ok it time to go for a drink”.
Now one needed bail money, no one chickened out and no one was left behind and we all had a blast.

Proof I’m raising a good kid

Yesterday was Mother’s Day and it was a great day for me. I got my normal favorite breakfast made for me and all throughout the day I received gifts and cards. The greatest part of the day was after church I asked my 3-year-old daughter what she’d like to do with me after lunch. She looked up at me and without skipping a beat said, “I want to go Letterboxing with you mommy”. What a great gift my daughter is turning into a letterboxing junkie. It’s just proof that I’m raising her right.

A Good Month

Well January is almost over and no one that I know has died. January has been a pretty good month so far. It snowed in GA enough for building a snowman in the front yard and making snow angels. The snow angel below was after it was snowing for about an hour we got more than just this.

On January 21 I hiked to a great spot with my husband since we are trying to take some time just for us away from the kids once a month now. It was to a 260 ft. suspension bridge over the Toccoa River at Margret, GA on the Benton MacKaye Trail.

It was my birthday and a few of my friends and I got together to drink and go letterboxing. It didn’t seem as cold when we came out of Taco Mac to go boxing as it was when we went in after boxing earlier in the day. The sun was down and the temperature even went down, what was different? Oh yeah the antifreeze in our blood called beer.

So far so good for 2008
